"ECTA: Climate Symbols in Art and Theology" is a project supported by the NORDPLUS Higher Education Programme. By the ideas of the project several establishments of higher education in the Baltic and Nordic countries were united and established a network, named "ECTA".
Participating countries are: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland and Norway. Project coordinating institution is Latvian Christian Academy, Latvia.
The motivation of the project deals with our common responsibility for saving ecosystems in the Baltic - Nordic region. We want to invest to essential corporate call to ecological etoss. The concern is to affirm the attitude and value knowledge of certain theological guiding principles in climate change issue particulary for University teachers, but on a broader scale for the society at all. search for solution on climeta change and other ecological issues thorugh theological perspective and artworks is the essence of planned network and project activities.
